Melbourne and Sydney (again)

We left Alice Springs behind on a Tiger Airlines flight to Melbourne, despite being charged extra money for my overweight bag, the flight was very enjoyable due to the campest air steward I've ever seen. Hilarious safety demonstration and a request to check out the safety card for recipes!

Back in Melbourne for a second time and with no fast cars to go and watch this time we managed to explore the cobbled alley ways, riverside and catch up with our friend Troy from back in the good old days of the Galapagos islands.

The Melbourne Comedy festival was taking place while we were there so we enjoyed the street performers and got tickets to a 'Dead Cat Bounce' gig, an extremely funny Irish act. To add to the quality of their performance they also dragged Dave up on stage with them to perform the 'kick dance' and a magic trick; he was rewarded with their latest album for his efforts.

Another relocation deal saw us leave Melbourne a couple of days later with a dollar a day rental and head for the hills. We spent the night in the Snowy Mountain's ski resort of Tredbo, missing out on the first snow of the year by one night! After one more night on the road Sydney beckoned, but not before visiting Will's new piece of land to see where the Howard's will be making their country dreams come true.

Mr Howard himself kindly came to rescue us from the airport after getting slightly lost on the journey in to Sydney and even offered to put us up for a last few remaining days in Oz.

The highlight of our return to Sydney was a visit with Will and family to the Easter show. We were gobsmacked by dare devil motorcycles, a flame spewing robosaurus and best of all a flying pig. Please see below for evidence of all this madness.

Our time in Australia was over and it was not long until we clambered aboard our Quantas jet bound for Singapore.
